Why Carrie Prejean was stripped of Miss California title

...Prejean countered the accusation saying that the producers of Miss California USA had wanted her to pose semi-nude for Playboy for $140,000 and to star on the reality show "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" but she had declined both offers.

Even though Carrie Prejean has lost her title, she is not without supporters and fans. If she had merely played according to everyone's rules and won the Miss USA title, no one would know her name. Noe she is something of a celebrity among conservatives. It will be interesting to see what Prejean does in the future. She has expressed interest in writing a book, which she is now able to do since she no longer is in a contract with Miss California USA.
